In May 2017, the International Exhibition and Convention Centre EXPO Krakow celebrated its third birthday. This was an occasion not only to celebrate, but also a time to revisit our achievements. In many cultures, the number three is perceived as a magic one, symbolising harmony, strength and development – during these three years we have worked to make those references applicable in the case of EXPO, too.
EXPO Kraków’s location on Galicyjska Street is no an accident: its name refers to the 19th century tradition of organising universal expositions in Galicia that Targi w Krakowie continues to cherish. For over twenty years, we have been furthering our mission of organising fairs, conventions and industry-specific meetings in a manner that provides participants with comfortable conditions to present new achievements, share experiences and establish business relations. It has been three years since we opened the International Exhibition and Convention Centre EXPO Krakow. Based on our long-lasting experience in business, the new location has been designed to provide additional space arrangement opportunities and to offer new development prospects.
For three years we have been dynamically expanding the recurrent events that we used to stage in the previous location: EUROTOOL® International Trade Fair for Machine Tools, Tools, Devices and Equipment for Material Processing; KRAKDENT® International Dental Fair; HORECA® International Trade Fair of Hotel and Catering Equipment; KOMPOZYT EXPO® International Trade Fair for Composite Materials, Technologies and Products; or the already legendary International Book Fair in Kraków. The new space has not only provided us with possibilities for expanding what we can offer individual events, but has also allowed us to accommodate a greater number of exhibitors and visitors. This is best illustrated by the dynamic growth of the KRAKDENT® Dental Fair or the Book Fair, in which cases figures have nearly doubled since moving to the new location!
…and second youth
The new premises have drawn new events, too, that have now become essentials on our agenda. The 2016/17 season was crowned with three of the most colourful events held at EXPO Kraków: Magnificon EXPO Japanese Culture Festival; Tattoofest International Festival; and JUBINALE International Summer Jewellery and Watches Trade Fair. In May and June our facilities were vibrant as they were transformed into concert halls, tattoo studios and trade fair space. With the growth of EXPO Kraków, visitors and exhibitors alike expect more and more from us – so we are not resting on our laurels nor do we shy away from innovation. Among others is The Lesser Poland Trade Fair of New Technologies in Construction, Installation and Interior Furnishing that we inaugurated in May 2017 and which, we hope, will become a permanent event on our trade fair calendar. Plans for the next year include premiers of the Cleaning Show and the Europe Sport Power Trade Fair. We do hope that in the years to come, EXPO Kraków will continue to surprise its exhibitors and visitors. For us, development never ends!
