Spring at EXPO Kraków: innovations, meetings, inspirations
The first quarter of 2017 is now history. Recent months have abounded in big events and springtime was hailed with the 25th anniversary of the KRAKDENT® trade show, which went beyond the organisers’ wildest dreams in terms of the number of exhibitors and guest turnout. In the coming weeks, EXPO Kraków will continue to throb with life, hosting a variety of shows and events.
February at EXPO Kraków was dedicated to mobile technologies. Held on 22-23 February 2017, The 4th Mobile-IT Trade Fair of IT Solutions, E-Commerce, and Mobile Devices brought together representatives from three sectors: mobiles, IT, and e-commerce. Over two days, more than 40 lectures and workshops presented a wide range of new technologies, and gave visitors an opportunity to test them “live”. An important theme of this year’s edition involved the business applications of mobile solutions, as well as the issue of cybersecurity. A true attraction of the show was Photon, a futuristic robot designed with the youngest programming buffs in mind.
Emotions had hardly had time to fade when dental innovations arrived at EXPO Kraków: on 9-11 March 2017, our rooms teemed with dental doctors and technicians wishing to check out the portfolio of 406 exhibitors from all over the world. The 25th edition of The KRAKDENT® International Dental Trade Show fully met the high expectations connected with its special anniversary. One anniversary was soon followed by another, as April started with The 35th LNE International Congress and Cosmetics Trade Fair, a renowned event in the beauty industry.
EXPO Kraków, however, is more than a trade-show venue. On 22 April 2017, the largest of our rooms morphed into a concert hall to welcome Maryla Rodowicz, an icon of Polish pop music. The concert was held in the framework of the “Nowa Huta. Why Not?!" cycle and the annual “Fields of Hope” campaign, and succeeded in attracting droves of fans, despite the capricious April weather.
The second week of May 2017 at EXPO Kraków was devoted to small and medium-sized enterprises from Lesser Poland, which had the chance to present their portfolio at The Lesser Poland Trade Fair of New Technologies in Construction, Installation, and Interior Furnishing. The end of the month, on the other hand, has been long awaited by all automotive fans, bringing the MOTO SHOW trade show, one of the biggest events dedicated to the automotive industry in the south of Poland. Alternative fuels, car digitisation, intelligent integration systems, and automation are some of the most-intriguing questions that we will address during a number of shows, meetings, and presentations this year. The organisers expect to surprise visitors with their new four-automotive-elements concept; this edition will be different from all the previous ones! A special guest of the MOTO SHOW in Kraków will be Mariusz Pudzianowski, a former Strongman, and a car lover. On Sunday 21 May, he will meet his fans and talk about his passion for cars.
During the last weekend of May, EXPO Kraków will be taken over by lovers of Japanese culture. For three days, its halls and conference rooms will host a colourful procession of manga and anime fans, as well as aficionados of the tradition, cuisine, and intellectual achievements of the Land of the Rising Sun, who will come to the Magnificon EXPO 2017 rally.
We consider the spring season officially open and we are ready to double our efforts to organise new events which will attract the attention of exhibitors and guests.
